Papatson Suphavai is a Thai American artist whose work channels sacred, psychological imagery and emotional landscapes through intuitive painting, spatial design, workshops, and cultural curation. Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and later migrating to the U.S. in their teenage years, Suphavai approaches art-making as a spiritual practice—a meeting place between the inner child and the purusha, or transcendental self.

Rooted in diasporic experience, Suphavai’s work draws inspiration from the microcosmos, exploring the full spectrum of what it means to be here, to be well, and to be free. Their practice centers collective liberation, particularly for queer and brown communities, healing, memory, and imagination.

In addition to their artistic work, Suphavai brings over nine years of experience across production, installation, and arts administration in cultural and educational spaces. They hold a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, are a member of SOMARTS’ exhibitions team, and run Like A Girl—a femme-led art installation business focused on inclusive care and safety. Suphavai is also the co-founder of Lén Sol, a Bay Area-based creative wellness collective.
